Patents to Technology Giants in 2012

It’s seems like a good kick-start this new year for technology companies like Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, Google and Intel. The year has just begun and these companies have already made their way towards obtaining substantial patent grants in the US. Below is a graph depicting the number of patents/published applications from 1st to 10th January 2012.

 

Samsung  has bagged more patent grants followed by Microsoft and Intel.

From the graph, it can be inferred that these tech giants have received a boost to their patent portfolio. Lets hope that the year 2012 witnesses a new range of high tech products developed as a result of these patent grants.
