Former Delhi High Court Judge to Chair the reconstituted Copyright Board

Retired Judge of the High Court of Delhi Sri Ramesh Chandra Chopra has been nominated as the Chairman of the newly reconstituted Copyright Board of India. The Ministry of Human Resource Development on Monday announced that the term of appointment is for five years and that the appointment took effect from 15th July, 2011.
The reconstituted Board has 14 ex-officio members, including two Central government joint secretaries, seven State governments law secretaries and three directors or Vice Chancellors of National Law Institutes. The Board is entrusted with the duties of adjudication of Disputes with respect to Copyright, its registration, licensing, assignment and other related matters.
