The end of a saga as Apple and Nokia settle

Nokia and Apple announced that they were settling the lawsuits between them by announcing that Apple will be paying a lump sum royalty and further continued royalty to Nokia. Nokia also agreed to license its patents to Apple. In return, Apple also will license some of its patents to Nokia (however, an Apple spokesman iterated that these patents are not he key patents covering the iPhone).
Further, all lawsuits between Nokia and Apple will be dropped, including the actions being undertaken at the International Trade Commission (ITC).
