IPAB centre likely to come up in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata

In order to expedite the dispute resolution system in the cases related to Intellectual Property, the Indian government may soon set up permanent centres of Intellectual Property Appellate Board in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkatta. The Delhi High Court recently has ordered the Delhi High Court Bar Association to advice the concerned ministry to set up these nodal offices. This came up because of a Public Interest Litigation filed by a group of lawyers before the Delhi High Court complaining about the logistical convenience caused because of the present office being only in Chennai.
