
Intellecture, Brain League’s training division had organized a seminar on Emerging Trends in Intellectual Property on 20th of April at Le Meridien, Bangalore.The occasion was graced by some of the best minds in the field of Intellectual Property and Technology. Also present at the event was MDs, R&D Heads, IP heads and other decision makers of companies from diverse sectors such as Telecom, Pharma, Software and Mechanical.
The underlying focus of the seminar was to help companies be aware of the Emerging trends in Intellectual Property and devise future business strategies accordingly and to gain competitive advantage.

The event unfolded with an enlightening presentation on
International Branding strategies delivered by Mr. Nishant Kewlaramani, Manager IP consulting division, Brain league and an expert in Indian and International Trademark laws . The session delved into issues like Value of branding, International Branding challenges, trademark protection and branding strategies. It also threw light on Comparative advertising and branding.
The first session was preceded by an engrossing session on
Unearthing Value of IP delivered by Dr. Kalyan C Kankanala, an alumni of FPLC, USA and a well known expert in field of IP. The session provided an in-depth understanding of IP Audits, IP excavation and also discussed issues like IP utilization and reviewing licensing opportunities.
The second session was preceded by a stimulating presentation on
Emerging Indian IP legislations and their impact on business delivered by Mr. Vikram Pratap Singh Thakur, Manager Biosciences Division, Brain League and an expert in IP laws. This session touched upon proposed IP legislations in India, New IP laws. It also covered topics like changing International IP environment and their impact on business.

The fourth session was on
Global Trend in Tech Transfer delivered by Prof. Anil Suraj, a visiting faculty of IIM-B, is particularly associated with the Centre for Public Policy. During the session, Professor Suraj provided an insight into Tech transfer and challenges. He discussed on Tech transfer regulations in India. The session also covered International tech transfer issues and devised strategies for tech transfer.
The seminar ended with a counseling session which provided the participants with an opportunity to discuss and clarify their queries with regard to Intellectual Property.
Having attended quite a few IP seminars organised by Intellecture I have gained a lot of knowledge about IP. Their seminars are very well organized and the discussions are always to the point. Their speakers are very knowledgeable and are well aware of Indian as well as international scenarios.Its worth the time and money invested.
