As a part of its back log clearance drive, the Trademark office has now made the filing response to examination report online. This was done by virtue of a notification issued by the Trademark office on 10th March, 2011. Generally, the processing of the Trademark applications is done electronically and the examination reports are made available online to the public on the Indian Patent Office’s website. Now the Trademark Office is taking a step to digitalize all the received responses and make them available online. In order to facilitate this speedy consideration, the applicants (attorney’s) may now file the responses to the examination report online. This can be done by mailing a scanned copy of the response to parm.tmr@nic.in.
The applicants who have already submitted hard copies may send a scanned copy for early consideration.
This is an excellent initiative by the Trademark office. This step definitely will help the Trademark office to increase the speedy process.
