After a series of law suits filed by Apple for the use of Appstore, Apple has now targeted Amazon over the same issue. The law suit was filed on 18th March, 2011 in the California federal court. Apple has alleged that Amazon is unlawfully using the APP STORE trademark in connection with the "Amazon Appstore Developer Portal," along with other instances like ads for a version of Angry Birds, the popular mobile game by Amazon. Apple has also asserted a claim of unfair competition, and is seeking to enjoin Amazon from using the APP STORE mark.
