VirnetX Holding Corporation, an internet security software and technology company has filed a patent infringement suit against Siemens AG, Siemens Corporation, Siemens Communications, Inc., Siemens Enterprise Communications, Inc., Mitel Networks Corporation and Mitel Networks, Inc. The suit was filed on 12th January 2011 in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Tyler Division. The complaint includes allegations of patent infringement regarding two patents owned by VirnetX, U.S. Patent Nos. 6,502,135 and 7,418,504. In the suit, VirnetX has sought for both, damages and injunctive relief against the defendants.
