Kodak and Shutterfly file Patent infringement suits against each other

Eastman Kodak company has sued the California based online photo site, shutterfly for patent infringement before the United States District Court. Kodak alleged that shutterfly has infringed its patents by using its patented inventions and by making, selling and offering to sell image products and services through its website, Shutterfly.com. In response, shutterfly filed a complaint against Kodak on Monday with a US District Court in Northern California, in which it alleged that Kodak infringes on one of its US patents by making, using, offering for sale, selling in the US and/or importing into the US the Kodak Gallery software which competes with Shutterfly’s service. Both the parties have sought for injunction, damages and costs in their complaints
