Oracle won the copyright infringement case against the German software maker SAP. Oracle had sued SAP in 2009 alleging that it had stolen Oracle’s Intellectual Property. It alleged that SAP had intended to take the maintenance revenue stream away from Oracle. Before the trial SAP had conceded that it was involved in the copyright infringement. Finally, on 22nd November, 2010, the Oakland, California Federal Court jury awarded damages of 1.3 billion dollars to Oracle and ended the trial.
