The High Court of Delhi has held that all the chocolates imported into India must contain details of all the ingredients used in the product. The court held this while hearing a trademark infringement suit between Ferrero Spa, the manufacturer of Ferrero Rocher chocolates and a rival manufacturer marketing Cherir. Justice S Ravindra Bhatt while delivering the judgment held that the union health ministry and the consumer affairs ministry must ensure that imported chocolates clearly mention their ingredients and the names of the manufacture and importer with their addresses.
