FICCI launching Anti-Piracy Coordination Cell

To strengthen the  efforts of India in curbing the menace of Piracy, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is Launching an “Anti Piracy Coordination Cell” under direction of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

The cell will be inaugurated on 15th October, 2010 at FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi by launching a web portal by Shri Amit Khare, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Human Resource & Development, Government of India. thereafter, the same will be followed by a panel discussion on combating piracy. The panel discussion will be attended by the music and film industry, academicians, Advocates and bureaucrats.

The Cell will work as a centralized agency to monitor and coordinate the efforts of Government agencies and the industries to erase piracy from the map of country. It also serves as a platform to represent the commitment of  the country to world at large.
